Our Story
GameDev Academy was founded in 2019 by a team of game industry veterans with a shared vision: to create a world-class game development educational institution in Cyprus and bridge the gap between academia and industry needs.
What began as a small workshop series in Limassol has grown into Cyprus's premier game development school, offering comprehensive courses in Unity, Unreal Engine, and Mobile Game Development.

Our Journey
From a small startup to Cyprus's leading game development academy.
2019: The Beginning
GameDev Academy was founded by Alexandros Kyriakides and Elena Papadopoulou, former senior developers at major game studios. The first Unity workshop series was launched in Limassol with just 15 students.
2020: Expanding Our Horizons
Despite the global pandemic, we successfully transitioned to online learning and expanded our course offerings to include Unreal Engine development. Our student body grew to over 50 learners.
2021: Industry Partnerships
We established formal partnerships with several game studios in Cyprus and Greece, creating direct pathways to employment for our graduates. Our first Mobile Game Development course was launched.
2022: New Campus
We moved to our current state-of-the-art campus in Limassol, featuring dedicated learning spaces, high-performance workstations, and collaborative areas for student projects.
2023: Regional Recognition
GameDev Academy was recognized as a leading educational institution in the Eastern Mediterranean region, with students enrolling from Greece, Turkey, Egypt, and other neighboring countries.
2024: International Expansion
We launched our online learning platform, making our courses accessible globally while maintaining our commitment to personalized instruction and career support.
2025: The Future
With over 450 successful graduates and a 92% employment rate, we continue to refine our curriculum and expand our offerings to meet the evolving needs of the game industry.
